"I have been working with Jan Milano since mid June. It was after I had a back spasm, and was in physical therapy and seeing a doctor that I finally listened to them and friends of mine who encouraged me to get back to the gym. It finally registered with me that if I didn't start taking care of my health and my body I was headed for bigger trouble down the road. I'm in my 50's so breaking old habits are not easy to break. I was told by doctor and therapist that I needed to build up the strength in my core. I knew I could not do this alone.

I was introduced to Jan at the gym, and when I asked for a look at his resume and credentials before I agreed to train with him, upon review I could see that I struck it lucky if I could work with him. I began to have confidence after our first training session, and relieved that he could help me achieve and maybe even exceed my goals. Jan is a top-of-the-line "elite" trainer. He is very knowledgable about every aspect of the body and he knows what is needed to get results. He also has a degree in Kinesiology. In about 6 weeks of seeing him twice a week, I no longer had the back pain issues.

I told Jan I also had a goal to take off some weight. I started with the idea of 10-15 lbs, but reality was that I needed to lose 25-30 pounds, and I could never do it on my own. I had years of bad eating habits and had developed a lot of intra-dermal fat around the mid-section (very hard to lose). I have tried Nutri-system and other diet plans, but always came back to the same place I started from. Over the course of 3 months time, through taking Jan's suggestions for my diet along with the exercise plan we had in place, Jan has seen me successfully lose 23 pounds.

So besides being my personal trainer, he is also very helpful with my nutrition. In working with Jan I have also become more stress-free. I struggle with hypertension, high cholesterol and border-line diabetes, so losing weight, eating a healthy diet, and regular exercise is crucial for my health and life-expectancy. Working with Jan has been an incredible uplifting life experience for me. He is interested in all aspects of my health, and gently guides me where I need to be focused, but he has also taught me discipline when he works me hard during our workouts together. I have to say that my life and my health has improved greatly since knowing Jan and working with him".
